La Quinta trip!

Last weekend we had the opportunity to go to La Quinta Resort (by Palm Springs) and stay for free! They were having a Toys for Tots dinner Sat. night and asked Marines to attend. For attending, they were able to play two free rounds of golf (one Sat. one Sun.) at the PGA West course and stay at the resort for free (families included!). So as you can imagine, Aaron did not hesitate once golf at a PGA course was involved! We about didn't go, because he would be playing golf and attending this dinner and what were we supposed to do. But glad we did, because this was an amazing resort (one we could not or would not pay that kind of money for!) It was tucked away in a quiet place by the mountains, had shops and restaurants at the resort and over 41 pools. It was a super nice weekend weather wise, 85 degrees and sunny...hate to say it but it was almost too hot! haha

Not a cloud in the sky either day, gorgeous scenery, just a breathtaking place!

Aaron took these next two pictures of the golf course he was on. No wonder it's a PGA course! (the pros are actually playing this course in Jan., the Bob Hope Classic, Aaron said they were already setting up)

One hole by the green, they came across these Big horned sheep who had come down from the mountain. This is zoomed in a little bit as you don't want to get too close to them!

Aaron had to wear his blues to the dinner, looks so nice:) Aiden wanted to go so bad, but only Marines were allowed, so they comped the families a meal at one of the restaurants at the resort. It was so nice!

Olivia had fun getting into and touching everything! But looks so innocent here:)

The kids enjoyed the pool, yes pool in December! And this was like at 10:00am! With so many pools at the resort, this one was right outside our room and had it all to ourselves.

We finished our trip playing at the playground they had there while Aaron finished golfing. (they have great shopping in the area too, we did indulge a little while Aaron golfed:))
